Welcome! I’m Abbie Paikowski and this is where you will be able to tag along and follow me throughout my journey in the Dental Hygiene Program at Johnson County Community College. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to help people, but I was unsure of how I wanted to do so. The idea of becoming a Dental Hygienist had crossed my mind, but I knew that career path would be encompassed with daunting challenges. I’m here to say that it does indeed come with many challenges, but with those challenges come lessons that are rewarding, motivating and more eye-opening than I could have ever imagined. This electronic portfolio will showcase some of the valuable lessons that I have learned, the accomplishments that I have made, and will also unveil all of the growth that will continue to take place throughout this program.

Besides being a dental hygiene student I enjoy spending time with the ones that I love, working out, cooking, and scoping out the best places to eat around the KC area. I’m the oldest of three siblings and I love getting to be someone that people can look up to, especially for my siblings. The road to becoming an RDH is one that I am immensely grateful for and I look forward to having the people I love ride along side me.
