So I watched this video on active learning. It was basically about how being engaged in discussion in person or by thread via. internet would statistically help students retain the knowledge better. According to the video, 70% of students remember the material while engaging in active learning.
That’s just crazy. In my experiences though, engaging in active learning does in fact help the teaching process, learning process and helps develop connections because of groupings of students being involved.
