Hello everyone! My name is Abigail Wheeler, but you can just call me Abigail. I’m the Business Operations Manager at the Johnson County Library system, where I’ve proudly served for over 10 years. As a returning student, I’m aiming to become the Director of Finance in the future. Additionally, I own a photography business that I’ve been running for more than 20 years.
When I’m not at work, capturing beautiful moments, or excelling in my studies, I manage a small veggie farm in Wellsville, Kansas with my wife, Karri. While we don’t have many animals, we do have four chickens, one wolfhound, one dachshund, and a small cat that rules the roost! My home is my oasis. ♥
I have a passion for marketing because it thrives on creativity. It allows me to communicate effectively, think strategically, enhance my imagination, and analyze consumer behavior. If I were to transition from my current role, I would pursue a career in social media marketing or advertising. I have a deep love for anything related to art.

*Post disclaimer* Don’t make fun of your wife for buying a Cracker Barrel hoodie because you might end up loving it and wearing it for your class debut!

Hey Abigail,
I’m digging the Cracker Barrel sweatshirt. I also love the photography experience, that’s something I’m very passionate about in my free time! What are your favorite things to shoot (weddings, landscape, family, etc)?

Hey Abigail!
I’m excited to work with you this semester!
1. Love the Cracker Barrell hoodie.
2. Love your mention of being creative AND organized…that doesn’t happen often and please know that you are gifted lol!
3. We need pet pictures 🙂 My fiance and I have two orange cats and they have their own Instagram @frank_and-kernel because I’m a crazy cat mom.
4. Congratulations on running your own photography business! Being an entrepreneur is already not for the weak, but you’re kicking butt managing that on top of being the Business Ops Manager for the Library.
5. Your lashes and eyeliner are perfect and I had to tell you.
6. I’m also a returning student! What was your first degree? I originally attended JCCC for the Entrepreneurship and Small Business degree.
7. You asked Bailey and I what you thought our challenges were, which is a great question. What do you feel are your challenges?
