Community building Strategy
After reading several articles on the topic of reaching and engaging a community online, I was able to formulate a strategy that I hope will help grow my clients current following. Currently, her most successful profile page is on Instagram. The page currently has 141 followers and gets about one to two comments per post. My goal for this account is to have about 300 following and more activity in the comment section. One of my strategies to accomplish this is to establish an “easy to stick to theme” My client and I have been testing out different colors and editing techniques for her posts, and I am hoping to figure out this week which one will work the best for the content we are creating. Another method I would like to implement for all of my client’s media accounts is to make a posting schedule based on when her followers are most active and then, of course, sticking to it. Doing this will get her name out more, as well as getting people used to when they can expect a post from her. A strategy that will work best for Instagram and Facebook is to post fun stories about her favorite products, as well as hair or makeup styles she is working on. I have noticed that I have posted stuff like this in the past people have commented how much they enjoyed it. Since Twitter isn’t her most visited page, I would like to change that. First I am hoping to get her new account out by promoting it on her business accounts on Facebook and Instagram, to let her current following know she is active on Twitter. Then, we plan on posting updates, availability, and photos on this page. To establish an engaging community I plan on retweeting posts from accounts similar to hers. These are several of my ideas that I am currently working on, and I can’t wait to see how they will help my clients brand name grow.
