blog reflection about your experience with Hootsuite, and then talk about how you would recommend using it for a client or individually in the future.

My Hootsuite experience has been great.  It is a surprisingly easy to use program even allowing you to post images to all your social media sites at once. The analytics page makes it super simple to find everything about your page including valuable statistical information. The tutorial videos are really helpful if you have an issue in Hootsuite.  While I was very impressed by the software I was equally impressed by their customer service. I had some billing issues and to my surprise that had a real customer service department that was very friendly and credited my account.

How I would use Hootsuite in the future with my client would be to set schedules for a lot more posts. Also, to check the analytics is very important when seeing which photos doing better than others. This could be streamlined as the reports can be generated and sent via email. Similar companies could leverage more fully by using an outside person or teaching an employee to use.  For the company that I’ve been working with this summer, he would be overwhelmed by Hootsuite due to the learning curve while trying to run his business. However, this could be delegated to a sales manager to gain a stronger online presence. They have a very strong business model right now that could be made stronger if they could take the time to learn about Hootsuite because the reports are simple and very straightforward. Hootsuite is perfectly built for these small business owners that is willing to learn and embrace technology.

Final Week Blog Reflection part 1 & 2

  • Reflect on the various lessons you’ve learned throughout the semester. Which areas did you find yourself most drawn to?  What was the most valuable module to you – and how did it impact your Client/Personal Online Reputation project?

I found that the videos of each lesson were great with really good details on everything. I really liked the lessons when they involved audience involvement. The most valuable module that I used in Hootsuite was the analytics page. It impacted my client because I reflected on the videos and they helped give my client great ideas for future posts and how to gain involvement with our followers.

Part 2

  • Share your Canva image (Client shoutout or Top 5 Lessons Learned in MKT 146) I learned that I need to be patient when waiting for my client to respond to my emails. Updating my client on everything that is going on. Taking notes during the videos to get a full understanding of everything.
  • What did you learn from your client/reviewer?  What did you do well? What would you do differently next time? I feel like I did well at updating him on when i’m posting each photo and how we can improve the site. What I would do differently next time would be to make a calendar and keep track of when i’m going to do everything.

Reflection 7

social media marketing presentation

Through this process, I have learned a lot about social media marketing. New strategies to engage with the audience by coming up with events, giveaways, and coupons. This project has given me many ‘real world’ challenges which I am sure that I will face as I continue my journey through social media marketing.  What I have learned is that your client doesn’t care about your deadlines they are concerned about their time. It took several weeks to gain access to the platforms that I wanted to use throughout this project. I have set up several meetings to discuss plans to go forward which were continually rescheduled. Though this has been a challenge I have learned a lot more about my approach to a client and how to keep things simple and straightforward.  At times I overthought and complicated the process which led to confusion. I have learned I need to be confident with my ideas and by keeping my ideas simple I was able to streamline my game plan for my client.

Blog Post Reflection Week 5 Part 1&2

WEEK 5, Part 1 BLOG REFLECTIONS
What is content marketing?
Content Marketing is a creative way of promotion through Social Media.
Share two examples of successful ‘content marketing’ that you have seen.
a famous actor promoted a company, which as a result gained many followers and a lot of people ended up purchasing their product.
I also saw a couple of videos on my ads page and I noticed that they got millions of views. I noticed that the video was shot very well and they used very create hashtags
Why is this content marketing successful?
It’s something new to people when they see an ad. On Social Media, it’s very hard to ignore an ad. I personally feel like these people are getting a lot of traction with great videos/photos or an overall great product — it will be successful if you do it the correct way.

DO + BLOG REFLECTION (WEEK 5, Part 2)

1. Think of a topic that your Client’s audience might want to link to or share. Is it an infographic, a how-to, an interview, or perhaps a blog post about the benefits of one of the services/products your Client sells, or a “did you know” type of blog? What i’d make would be a video about the company’s history, What we can help with, What kind of cars we mostly sell.
2. Create and publish a blog post about the topic above, that your client could potentially use one their website/blog in the future. Also, create a shortened URL to track success (i.e. owly, bitly). Some ideas we could add in the future for the website would be to add videos of each car so people get a full view of what the car is going to look like and if there are any dents that you might not see in the photos. What we need to also add on to the website would be to add more details of the description of the car so know everything about the car.

company suggestions for the future

3. Using content marketing best practices, write a status update for each of the social media networks if you were going to share the above blog post on the different platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest/Instagram- if visual, YouTube-if video).
Facebook-Everything on facebook we have is everything about the company and where you can contact them.
Twitter- Twitter we are there to answer any questions you may have are certain vehicles.
Instagram- We will be posting all the new cars you can check out and maybe even buy yourself.

blog Reflection 4 Pt 1 & 2

Week 4 Blog post

I chose to investigate on Instagram the social community of car dealership sales. I noticed/found that most posts use hashtags such as #dealshiplife #carstagram #carsofinstagram. It seems that the social community creates an image of success and connections through the use of a variety of hashtags.
Tagging car groups helps to build a community. Direct posts to active social influencers also helps to get an active community members to check out your page. Responding to comments that people might have a question about quickly also generates likes and comments.
Tactics I suggest to grow the community are: building consistency in style and frequency of posts of sales or cars for sale. Creating eye-catching images that will increase the flow of the profile. The use of multiple hashtags improves community visibility. Also, posting every time a car is sold.
To apply this awareness to my client strategy I recommend:
posting photos of the interior and exterior of the car, including multiple images in a post.
Consistent posting every week (3-4 posts a week using multiple hashtags).
Posting many more videos to increase site visibility.
Create ways to become involved in community events.

Part 2- List your objectives for each of the platforms you’ve selected to work on for your client
Facebook: Strategy is to attain the objective of gaining more followers. I can help my client (KC Motors) create community/engagement online by creating a presence that consistently answers questions and responds quickly to posts that mention the company.
Instagram: Strategy is to attain the objective to have a following on this account. Would like to have more images of community-gatherings. I can help my client create community engagement by documenting the events that they participate in and recording them on this social media platform.
Twitter: Strategy is to attain the objective of frequent tweets and answered questions. Events that we will attend/or host should be posted here. The client can create engagement by responding to tweets and comments in a timely manner.
Social media success for this client is based on using Hootsuite and having images planned to drop consistently on certain dates so that, using hashtags, the community can be generated.
Revise/elaborate on the strategies you started developing last week for each platform. How can you help your client create community/engagement online? I think it will be important to use company hashtag (#kcmotorco) consistently and to tag related brands/names to create online community.

blog post #2 Learning step by step

What did you learn? What else do you want to know?
Who did you select as your client? Describe their business/mission, current social media presence (which sites, how active), and which social media platforms you think might be worth leveraging for your client’s business (and why). Note – we will continue to refine this as the semester goes on and you learn new tools/features. ;).

So far, from reading the articles I’ve learned new terms such as SEO. Social Media Manager is #48 of the top 100 for careers. Twitter is a place to get questions answered and is important for the social media manager to respond in a timely manner. Images serve to help people notice your brand and to increase traffic but also make them more memorable. The use of videos will continue to increase audience attention. Making sure the videos are well produced keeps followers engaging with the post. Planning your posts and researching others is also important to keep your followers. Creating a personal hashtag or facebook group creates trust which has been important since 2018. Hiring a micro-influencer can help build a trusting community because they offer come with established followers. Stories are a new way to communicate with your audience.

What I would like to know is how to create a type of posts, tweets, photos that can get people’s attention. Also, what a day is normally like as a Social Media Marketer.

For the purpose of this class, I’m working with a car dealership called KC Motor Company. The company provides good deals on cars that are for sale and will answer any questions you may need. The mission for me is to offer digital, custom, tips and tricks to help with the car dealership getting more popular and gain new customers.

So far I’ve worked on three social media accounts on the most active sites (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook) The most active social network is Facebook which I plan to add in the future. How I plan on growing employees is through both LinkedIn or Twitter.
