In the self-audit google search, I discovered that I have my social platforms set privately. The only demographics that showed up on google were general information of where I live, family background, being in the dean’s list at Rockhurst University, fundraising activities where I participated at Cass Regional Medical Center and the employee database of the Internal Revenue Service. Basically, my name only appears on pages of public institutions where I worked or attended college which tell employers that I am active person in my community, that have and education, and have worked for the IRS. These results tell me that I need to work on my branding because there is not much information about me and as I individually looked at my Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, I realized that I need to redefine my purpose and maintain them up to date on each of those platforms, especially LinkedIn because there is little and outdated information on there. Therefore, my goal throughout the semester is to develop a detailed and professional LinkedIn profile to maximize my professional networking.
