The evidence for the competency on Communication is:
This assignment was completed during my second semester. I had to select a patient that I did not know personally and had not treated before. The purpose of the assignment was to record the first appointment. I was then to watch the recording and analyze my verbal and nonverbal communication skills with my patient, and write this reflection paper.
2) Radiographic Interpretation Self-Assessment
During my third semester, I had to take a full mouth radiographic survey and present the findings of the radiographs chair side. It was explained to the patient why radiographs are such a critical part of treatment planning. The patient needed to be oriented which side of the mouth was left and right. Other features like teeth, decay and surrounding features needed to be pointed out. I was evaluated by an instructor.
