Below are the pieces of evidence that demonstrate my competence in Community Engagement.
First, I have listed a Pre-Assessment tool that I created and used to assess the knowledge of my assigned 5th-grade classroom. Each student filled one out and then I analyzed what the classroom knew and didn’t know. From there, I formulated a lesson plan geared to what they did not already know.
Next, I have is the Post-Assessment. This was given to each student after I presented to them. I used this tool to measure whether or not my goals and objective were met.
Lastly, here is a paper I wrote reflecting my Community-Based Service Learning Project. I handpicked an organization to volunteer for and I invested 20 hours into helping them however they needed. This project was fun and easy to do because I love helping others and this organization has a mission to truly impact the community we live in.
