All of the pieces of evidence I attached are assignments that I have completed during various semesters. Each project is unique and allowed me to view this competency a little differently each time. They also display my growth as a dental hygiene student. Each case study was different and each patient had their own needs. I grew in the areas of being able to identify those needs based on clinical evaluations and I was also able to treat those patients accordingly. The Code of Ethics paper was challenging for me because quickly realized that not all dental offices follow these guidelines and I may have to advocate for patients in my future. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to become very familiar with these resources because I believe it is the backbone of the dental hygiene profession.
