Lobby Day helped me as a student to display my competency in professionalism. I had the opportunity to team up with other Kansans that were apart of the dental hygiene profession and we spent the day advocating. Speaking with different state legislators required professional skills as we wanted them to hear our views regarding the need for change.

This competency was displayed throughout our program every day, by clinical experiences and interaction with our faculty. This is a very important competency that I will carry with me throughout my career.
