So…Strengths?

Welcome back!

So today I took the StrengthFinder test and my results were as follows:

-Deliberative

-Intellection

-Input

-Learner

-Analytical

To be honest, I wasn’t really surprised by any of these. I have taken personality tests before and received similar results. After reading more into my results, they seem to be extremely accurate. I couldn’t find anything that I disagreed with.  To me, strengths are what make you, you. The differences that we all have are what makes life so interesting. I feel like for me personally, I need to focus more on my strengths rather than spending so much time thinking about what I’m not the best at. We can’t always focus on the negative.

As for how I can use these things to help me during the course of this class, some I feel are sort of self explanatory. Learner is sort of my way of being open-minded and excited to learn new ideas and how to use them efficiently. Deliberative is my way of considering the best approach for different types of situations and choosing the one for the best possibility for a good outcome. Analytical sort of goes along that same path. Intellection is how to come up with the ideas and it’s true because I’m always thinking even though sometimes it’s not on the topic that I’m supposed to be thinking about. Those are just examples of how exactly my strengths will work in tandem with this course.

If game development is considered to be what my future holds, then my strengths will definitely help me. You have to be very deliberate with your choices while developing a game. Your choice could make or break a game, so it’s important to be sure and confident with that decision. Intellection will contribute to that sort of thinking. Learner will be keeping up with learning how to use all of the different and new types of technology in the industry. Analytical could be analyzing the how well the game was accepted by the community after release. Overall, I think I’m in a pretty good position.

That’s all for now
