Week 14

I’ve really been thinking a lot more about the strategy that I’ve been using for my client’s social media accounts. After watching the latest hootsuite videos, I was able to come up with what I believe to be a stronger strategy that should be able to quickly turn things around. For twitter, I’ve been focusing on posting content and retweeting things that I think fit what my company is and what my future followers might find interesting. I also think that retweeting and liking posts from others, is a great way to start interaction. Instagram is where I’ve been spending the bulk of my time. It’s so easy to come up with a picture, post it, and tag it with relevant hashtags. In my opinion, it’s sort of like the epitome of instant gratification for social media. Usually, if I wait a couple of minutes, people will start to like the post that I created. So I think that insta is working well for me. Facebook is one that I really haven’t used, but I am starting to do so. Overall, though, I think my main issue was that I wasn’t posting content regularly. In the hootsuite videos, this was something that was stressed. I feel like companies that have a bigger presence on social  media, are ones that spend quite a lot of time on it. If you are on it more often, you have a higher chance of creating interactions with people and creating relationships with them. So I guess you could say my strategy is to create more content and to make sure that I have a regular presence on social media platforms. It is the best way to keep up with current events in my industry, etc.

That’s all for now,
