Discovery

Unfortunately, I did not discover anything that I was not aware of regarding myself on social media.  I can say there are a few reasons why, I use to post on FB alot, mostly pictures, sometimes I would share a thought or an opinion. I do not tweet, yes I have an account, but that was because my teenagers at the time thought I needed one, NEWS FLASH…. I still do not need it!  Instagram I like I like looking at pictures and sometimes post.  Reasons why I have stopped, because most of it is crap, people that you use to know, kinda know, really know, and extremely superficial people basically strangers are usually either complaining about how bad things are, or are posting about how perfect their lives are.  I am done buying into this, real information comes from meeting and talking and getting to know people for who they are and what they stand for.  I think everything has its place and as long as it is used for good then that is great.  I also do not care about seeing peoples duck lips. I will still post pics from time to time, so that my family far away can see my kids and grand babies, and I do like seeing others families and pictures. Also seeing what my kids are up to.   Now that I have gotten that off my chest, I feel that for my presence online I need to do a better job on linkedIn. I have an account but have not done anything to it. I have lots of questions about the sight, is it just for employers to find you when you are looking for a job? My ultimate goal is to start my second career, but I do not want to out myself of a job if I put information out there that looks like I am looking.  Any insight would be great on this, I know we have some younger more tech savy geniuses in the class????
