As I lead class, I don’t have much to say about what was learned in class. 🙂 I was also too busy practicing landing pages to really pay attention to the video in class. What a terrible student :’D
Here’s the landing page I created as an example for London Motorworks:Â https://silaswilliams.wishpond.com/londonmotorworkslanding/
Here’s a screenshot and the original Google ad copy.
This landing page is meant to accurately reflect the title of the advertisement. Users are indeed presented with the ability to “book an appointment” and receive more info at a later time. They are also given information about the business, what they do, and the services they offer. I provided a “personal” feel by using some slang, discussing custom cars, and using the owners name as a sign-off. This creates a more interpersonal feel to the landing page and prevents it from feeling cold and unwelcoming. The colors and design are meant to look both stylish and precise. The image shows an example of some of the cool cars worked on in the shop.
This page is targeted towards two audiences. First: people with custom cars looking for a mechanic they trust. The second group are more uneducated individuals who may not have a custom car but take the custom work as a quality signal. The personal messages are also effective at building trust with these people. They don’t understand how cars work, so they need a good relationship with their mechanic. This landing page is meant to build this.
Haha! You did a fabulous job leading the class, Silas – and your landing page is sharp! Nice work!
