BLOG POST:

This 350Z on air suspension was the first things that caught my eye at the summer 2016 wrap-up meet. Kansas City is home to mostly budget builds, so it was refreshing to see a clean chassis slammed on air-bags and some proper 3-piece wheels.

Speaking of budget builds, this civic caught my eye. The concave wheels really work with the factory body-lines, and the less aggressive front lip makes it low without undermining the factory styling.

Of course your’s truly was there in the land yacht.

Bill is a bit of a celebrity in the local Miata community. If you’ve owned a Miata, you’ve talked to Bill at some point. His latest additions include a hard-top, fender flares, and *gasp*, matching paint! It came out pretty good for cans of $3.99 Rustoleum.

This Scion XB was the show-stopper for me. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the toaster ovens. This one was also on air-bags, and the deep-dish wheels combined with the conservative color harken to Japanese Bippu builds.

This V8 swapped s13 pulled up late but immediately sucked in quite the crowd. It was obviously drift ready with a custom tube-front, modified suspension, and gutted interior.

And finally, here are some bonus shots of my friend’s Miata. Chris also goes to JCCC,and his hobbies include complaining about everything that breaks on his car.
