Reflection 7

Describe the social community. Joanns is a a fabric/ craft store. They provide supplies for entrepreneurs to create any  item that comes to mind.

What makes this social community successful? What makes this business successful is the fact that they always have trendy items to be sure they stay relevant. They also sell items that craftsmen of all kinds can use.

What are tactics you can suggest to grow the community? Some tactics I suggest the company use are more advertising. That way everyone is aware of who they are and what they stand for as a company.

How could you apply this awareness to your Client strategy? Some things that I could work on applying to my social strategy are finding items that suit everyone. So that people from all walks of life can relate to the products.

Blog 4 Reflection

So far I have helped my client “MoreKreativ” sharpen the Facebook business page we’ve been working on by adding a phone number and appointment times for crafts. We are currently working on a website for convenience for customers. I have also helped with creating these porch signs and setting up baby shower signs! Seeing how an online business is run first hand is very exciting! I myself am enjoying learning how run an online business so I can eventually start my business.  Some things I learned are how to add watermarks to photos and how to handle customer complaints. Customer complaints can be difficult and you have to be careful of how you handle them. You are the face of your business. Some engagement strategies that my eye in the video were photo presentation and influencer marketing.

 

 

Reflection 3

In the Hootsuite Academy I learned about picture presentation. I never knew or heard of HD photos. I also learned how how your business page is presented can affect your potential customers. What else do you want to know? One thing I would like to know is how to run a ghost E-commerce. I would love to run an online business. However, I would like to stay behind the scenes. Part 2: Who did you select as your client? I selected a local business by the name of More Kreativ. This buisiness is an e-commerce and all of the art is hand made. The mission of this business is to change the way customers view local business. The social media platforms I think will be great for this business are Facebook and SnapChat. Snapchat can gives snapshots of how products are made and show how much work it takes to make quality products.

 

Blog Reflection #2

When doing my personal strengths quiz, I learned that my strengths were realtor, responsibility, input, discipline, and futuristic. These are honestly strengths I had no idea I possessed until I sat down and thought about it. I was very excited to learn about these strengths because they are very strong/ great strengths to have. I 

 

The first trait learned that I can be a realtor. Which means I love meeting people and value the relationships I have. I find this to be very true, because I truly love people and I keep my loved ones as close to me as possible. Once I have established a relationship, I try to do whatever in my power to keep the relationship.  

 

The second strength was responsibility. Although we all know what this means. I learned that I tend to take on more than I should. I tend to overwhelm myself a lot and this can be a strength or weakness. Depending on the situation and how you look at it. must learn to take a step back, not take on so many responsibilities, and not overwhelm me 

 

Discipline was the third strength. This one was obvious for me because, I grew up with a military dad and I crave structure. I love schedules and predictability. I do not like chaos and disorder. I tend to get anxious and panic when things are not in order and unpredictable. This again can be a strength and weakness depending on how you look at it.  

 

My last strength is futuristic. This again is a trait I knew I had. I love to discuss and make goals. I also love to think about my future. This keeps me positive through everything life throws at me. My peers love how futuristic I can be because it comes off as positivity and optimism. 

 

When looking into myself online I didn’t find much. I am not a social media person. I rarely get on it unless it is to network with peers or others in my community. My buddy did mention that it was barely anything on my social media (Facebook) page. A lot of people think it is due to privacy settings. However, it is solely the fact that I do not utilize social media outside of doing business.

Short introduction about yourself (year, major, past marketing/work experiences), why you are taking this course, and three things you are hoping to learn.

 

My name is Sayra and I am a 26 year old mother of two. My major is Marketing Management. I have no marketing experience, however the field really excites me. I hope to have a career in social media marketing with the company I am currently employed through. What excites me most about this career is helping a company become one of the most popular/ memorable to the public. I am taking this course because it is a requirement for my degree. Three things I am hoping to learn are how to get out of my shell and on social media more, learning how to successfully market, and how to start an e-commerce.
