(this is based off 28 days) Trying to figure out whats the best way to pull data for a year ago.
Facebook is our most important social media site. I would like to grow our likes overall, but more so get more interaction on our post from people that have already liked our page. Get more shares. I would measure this by Facebook insights (or hootsuite) compared to last year. I would compare this on a yearly basis, because we are about to approach our busy season. Since we are a seasonal company this will help get the best insight on customers searching for gutter protection.
I think the best strategies for Facebook is to come up with a set of specific campaigns to follow. Post made for blogs, photos of installs / company improvements, updates for home improvement or maint. & community events. These are all broad enough to track which gets the best interaction. Post would be made weekly 1 of each campaign during the busy season.
The metric to look at is post engagement. I would like it to be at-least 100. Which we should be able to accomplish, due to it being the slow season we are not posting as much content. I think paying attention to recommendations would be smart as well. We have a lot of business that comes from personal referrals. Its worth talking to our owner about.
With out target market its best not to post too much. Most of our followers don’t have a huge amount of friends and pages they follow. Its best not to be the only thing they see on their Facebook Feed, turns them away.
Gutter Cover’s Twitter Strategy

Twitters main concern is getting more relevant followers. Right now its mainly spam-ish followers. Almost all of our followers are involved in marketing. I believe this platform will become more important in the future, but right now its not highly used with our demographic. I would like to work on sharing the Facebook campaings with Twitter- like is happening now. As well as try to make better connections to other businesses or individuals to grow. The goal is to better establish our # too, from Facebook, twitter, and Instagram.
- get better followers (local)
- Make business connections
- Work on Hashtag population
I need to work on connecting locally with twitter businesses and individuals. I need to make sure each post has our hashtag in it. I need to participate more on Twitter, share relevant content and help grow other businesses, hoping they will help us too.
I will use Hootsuite to compare Twitter and Facebook measurements. Once we start getting out our Youtube videos that will be stared to Twitter- so using insights on Twitter will help determine if its best to continue with.
