This assignment was given to us while studying the ADA and ADHA Code of Ethics. We were required to read through different scenarios and identify whether or not there was an ethical dilemma, and if there was, we had to identify what exactly the dilemma was and how it may be addressed.
Competency
The JCCC Dental Hygiene Program is very good at modeling how students should conduct themselves in a professional manner. Having role models throughout this program has made it easy to understand how to present ourselves professionally and to handle any ethical dilemma that we may encounter. Learning the ADA and ADHA Code Of Ethics also helps us have a strategy when it comes to identifying an ethical dilemma and understanding how to go about finding a solution.
