Week 5

Part 1: Social Media Strategy Overview

Two of my social media goals include raising awareness for my business by first picking a profile and banner pictures across all my social media platforms so that they match and are easily recognizable. From there, I plan to post once a month to engage my current followers because currently I haven’t posted anything for several months. Once I have more material to post about (the product) then I want to increase the number of posts. I can measure the success of this by the number of followers and shares. Along with posting more, my other goal is to create more loyal “consumers” that share more testimonials or reviews on my Facebook page. This feedback will grow the brand and improve customer retention.

Part 2: Twitter

For the twitter account, I would like to update the profile picture and maybe the banner (to match other platforms), the bio to include the maybe the Facebook and Instagram page links, and to post more material that involves me and my artwork (product). Doing these three things, I hope to see some more followers and feedback as to who my audience is. Right now, I don’t have enough information to know my market very well.

My top five strengths from the CliftonStrengths finder include; adaptability, empathy, positivity, includer, and belief. Knowing these strengths has helped me better understand myself and my greatest opportunities for success in college and my career. Four out of my five strengths are relationship building and belief is the only one that is executing which tells me that I still have a role in a team. Prior to this test I recognized my “adaptabilty” and “empathy” traits as indecisive, directionless, too sensitive, and naïve. I didn’t realize that I was important in the relationship building aspect of leadership strengths. I can assist in creating bonds for a work team.

Hello, My name is Adara.

I am finishing my fourth year at JCCC with a liberal arts and business administration degree. I plan to be a studio artist after I graduate and travel for awhile. Therefore, I think that social media marketing will be a large part to my success as an artist in this day and age. I took introduction to marketing class two semesters ago and really enjoyed it. It was very interesting and informative about the target markets and how companies strategically appeal to them.

In this course, I hope to learn what the best outlets for social media, the right content, and some helpful tips to use in my future small business.

I also work in the food court on campus at JCCC as a cashier. Come say hi! 🙂
